EZ Street Sales Manager - Outside Sales

Gallagher Asphalt is looking for a highly motivated, high-energy EZ Street Sales Manager to help grow one of the most exciting product lines in our business.

This is not a desk job. This is a field-first, relationship-driven sales role for someone who is hungry to win, comfortable hearing “no,” and motivated by turning cold calls into customers. If you are a self-starter with a hunter mentality, strong follow-through, and the drive to expand sales across Greater Chicagoland, this could be your opportunity!

As our EZ Street Sales Manager, you’ll be the face of EZ Street in the market—meeting with municipalities, villages, DOT contacts, utilities, contractors, distributors, and other potential customers to demonstrate the product, build relationships, and grow sales.

 

About EZ Street

EZ Street is a ready-to-use asphalt product designed for fast, effective, long-lasting pavement repairs. It is used for potholes, utility cuts, overlays, edge repairs, and other asphalt maintenance needs.

What You’ll Do

Hunt New Business

  • Build and grow a strong pipeline of new customers
  • Make cold calls, walk into municipality/village/DOT offices, and open doors
  • Schedule and lead customer visits throughout the territory
  • Spend significant time on the road meeting customers face-to-face
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and industry events throughout the year

 

Demonstrate the Product

  • Learn the EZ Street product inside and out
  • Conduct regular product demonstrations for current and prospective customers
  • Distribute samples and follow up with customers to convert interest into sales
  • Help customers understand where, when, and how to use the product successfully

 

Build Strong Relationships

  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers
  • Create trust with public agencies, contractors, utilities, and private customers
  • Follow up consistently and professionally
  • Represent Gallagher Asphalt and EZ Street with energy, credibility, and confidence

 

Stay Organized & Own the Details

  • Track customer interactions, leads, opportunities, and follow-up activity
  • Use Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and other tools to stay organized
  • Keep activity and pipeline information current and accurate
  • Partner with internal teams to support product availability, customer needs, and territory growth

 

What We’re Looking For

Must-Haves

  • 1+ years of sales experience or demonstrated sales aptitude
  • Willingness to cold call, walk into customer offices, and create opportunity
  • Strong organization skills and ability to track leads, customer activity, and follow-up
  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Comfort using technology and AI tools to work smarter and stay efficient
  • Ability to travel regularly within approximately a 3-hour radius of Thornton, IL
  • Willingness to travel overnight approximately 25% of the time, typically about one night per week
  • Ability to attend approximately 10–12 trade shows per year, mostly September through April
  • Valid driver’s license and a reliable personal vehicle
  • Ability to lift a 50 lb bag and learn how to demonstrate the product
